Walk with Kumbatio, edition 2

For the past 11 years, Kumbatio has provided shelter, education and a place of belonging for the children of Thika. We strongly believe that every child deserves a place they call home and in which they feel safe. Our goal is to create a better future for these children than the future they would have had without our help. Luckily, we don’t stand alone in this. Together with a social worker and a psychologist, the focus lies on providing the children and their families with a strong basis so the children can eventually return back to their families.  

The Kiota Dream

This year, our long awaited dream is finally coming true. Through current negotiations we have bought our own piece of land where we can start building family houses and a community and training center. This provides our staff and our children with all that is needed to fully focus on working, living and education. In Walk with Kumbatio 2.0, we challenge participants to virtually walk with us to Thika, Kenya. The goal is to raise around € 25.000/£20,000/AUD30,000/USD30,000 to build our very first family house on site. With your help, we can make this dream a reality.
